Our Fees Explained

No Surprises.

Being completely transparent is very important to us. We will always tell you the cost of the service as early as possible. Our fee isn’t paid until your mortgage is offered, it’s important you know exactly what this fee is.

Our expert mortgage advice is always free. We only charge a fee to process your application, and unlike many other brokers, you only pay if we succeed.

Our Fee Promise means you are charged only once your official mortgage offer is produced. If we can’t secure you an offer, there is no fee. Promise.

To ensure you get fantastic value, our fees are based on a tiered system that reflects the complexity of your particular application. Your adviser will be transparent about the potential cost early in your first conversation, so you have all the information you need with no pressure to decide on the spot.

We regularly review our fees to guarantee you receive exceptional value. There’s no VAT to add on.

A breakdown of our fee structure

Mortgages are complicated, you can get a good idea of the fee you will pay by referring to the below examples. Your adviser will confirm if there will be a fee, and how much it would be, during your first conversation with us.

*If you have additional complicating factors the fee you pay could fall into a higher tier. Your adviser will confirm as early in your conversation as possible.

Switching mortgage deals with your current lender

£0, Nothing, Nada, Zero, Zilch. Unlike some brokers, we don’t charge you if we end up arranging a new product with your exisitng lender.

Remortgaging

We charge £250 for a standard remortgage.

This captures the vast majority of remortgage scenarios.

Purchasing

We charge £450 for a standard purchase.

This captures the vast majority of purchase scenarios. We don’t charge again if your purchase falls through and a new application is required.

Later Life Mortgage

If the most suitable product for you is one designated specifically for people over 50 years old and/or retired individuals. Such as a Retirement Interest Only (RIO) mortgage product, our fee is £700.

Complex Mortgage

A mortgage application is typically classified as ‘Complex’ based on a few key factors, such as:

  • Applications with more than two borrowers

  • severely impaired credit history

  • layered limited company structure

Your adviser will confirm if your application falls into this category and will explain what it means for you. We charge £700 for a Complex Mortgage.

Expat Mortgage

If you live outside of the UK when you apply, we charge a £900 fee. We specialise in UK expats so you’re in safe hands with us!

Private Banking Mortgage

If your circumstances require a private bank to provide the mortgage, we charge a fee of £1300. This reflects the extra work involved when private banks underwrite a mortgage application, often taking into account an individual’s overall assets to derive their net-worth.
