Tom is our resident life insurance expert, he’s always been very enthusiastic about what is, let’s face it, a rather dull subject. In 2019 Tom assisted one of the UK’s top insurers in developing and launching a new life insurance product into the broker market. He’s previously worked for one of the UK’s largest insurers and most recently helped set up an insurance advice team for the consumer champion Which?.

Tom is a qualified financial planner with 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry, the majority of his career to date has been spent helping his clients with their mortgages. Tom is fully fledged petrolhead, you can usually find him tinkering on an engine somewhere in his spare time.

Dan has over 14 years experience in the mortgage and insurance industry and has worked in various roles and departments, giving him a huge amount of knowledge to help all types of customers in all types of scenarios. Dan previously worked for the largest consumer champion in the UK, he has a passion to improve the standard of advice given to customers across the industry.

His goal is to help all customers make choices and decisions that are most suitable for them. In his spare time Dan enjoys the simple things in life with his family and has a keen interest in music and movies.

Steve loves a complex mortgage. Most recently he has used his technical geekery to work his way up through Which? Mortgage Advisers, progressing to Senior Adviser and then Onboarding Manager. There, he was responsible for hiring, training and managing new advisers.

He also ran the monthly new starter inductions and wrote and maintained the telephony advice standards of the company. Outside of work Steve can be found coaching and being run ragged by his local under 10’s rugby team, Bristol Harlequins RFC.

Dan has over 10 years experience advising in the mortgage and insurance industry. He has built up a wealth of experience over the years helping hundreds of customers move home, remortgage and purchase investment property. A large amount of that time was spent at Which? Mortgage Advisers where he was a Principal adviser helping to improve the standard of advice given to consumers as well as assisting other staff members with training and development.

He has a passion for excellent customer service. His interests away from work are music, sport, reading and trying to keep in shape.

 Ryan has been working in financial services for over 12 years and has gained a wealth experience of working in different roles across the industry. He has worked with some of the largest financial institutions in the UK, starting his career as a personal banking manager for Nationwide Building Society and then progressing into a Financial adviser role within Lloyds Banking Group. After completing all the relevant financial qualifications Ryan continued his succession to one of the Principal Mortgage Advisers with the consumer champions Which? for the most recent 5 years.

During his time in Financial services Ryan has always strived to deliver the highest level of service and prides himself on giving all clients he deals with a professional and memorable experience. In his spare time you can usually find Ryan playing golf (badly) or in the gym. Other passions include football and motorsport, both purely as a spectator!

Susannah has been working in financial services for over 10 years in various customer focused roles, and after qualifying in 2015 she began her career as a mortgage adviser, working for the UK largest consumer champion, Which. There she worked her way up and was promoted to senior adviser, taking on further responsibility for coaching and training new starters.

She is passionate about helping her clients reach their goals, whether that might be buying their dream property, building a property portfolio, or improving their financial situation by re-mortgaging. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and singing – sometimes even at the same time!

Ellie has been in the financial services sector since 2009 when she joined HSBC as a Premier Associate. After moving to the mortgages department, she found her passion:  helping her customers achieve their dream of owning a home.

Ellie qualified as a mortgage adviser in 2018, and joined the consumer champion Which?, where she became an expert in complex mortgages. She thinks outside the box and is eager to deliver positive solutions to her clients. Outside of work, Ellie enjoys hiking and long bike rides in the countryside, and plays roller derby for Bristol Roller Derby.

Meet Rudo, with almost 10 years spent in financial service under his belt, he brings both knowledge and experience to the team.

Specialising in adverse credit, self employed income and Buy to Let’s, Rudo will be able to source the most cost-effective mortgage for yourself regardless of your current situation.

Michael has been working in financial services for 10 years building up a wealth of experience from working in different customer focused roles across the industry. A large part of Michael’s carer was spent with the UK’s leading consumer brand Which? Where he qualified as a Mortgage Adviser in 2017.

He is passionate about helping his customers achieve their goals and ensuring that they receive a personal and memorable experience. In his spare time you will often find Michael seeking out new cycling routes around the south west, and spending time with family and friends. Other passions include football, music and motorsport.

Rob has been involved in the financial services industry for over 20 years and has over 10 years advising on mortgage and protection products and has a wealth of experience advising on all types of mortgages.

Rob is also a fully qualified financial adviser and has previously given advice on pensions and investments.  Rob also has a passion for providing excellent customer service and ensuring that the right outcome is met for his clients.

In his spare time Rob likes going out for walks in the countryside, going to the gym and also he practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Jason has been working in financial services for nearly 20 years now, with 15 years’ experience of working within the Mortgages sector. During this time, he has held a variety of roles, ranging from Mortgage Consultant positions up to managing a team of Mortgage Advisors before embarking on a role as a Mortgage Broker. He is confident dealing with all types of mortgages including Residential, Buy to Let, Buy to Let Portfolio and later life lending as well. He is also qualified to deal with Equity Release mortgages as well.

Jason prides himself on his level of customer service and is passionate about finding the best outcomes for all customers and clients and really putting them at the heart of everything he does whether that is buying a dream home, renovating a property or building up a portfolio of properties. Outside of work he enjoys music, cooking as well as eating out, playing football and he is a season ticket holder at Brentford FC.

James is our resident General Insurance specialist, with experience in financial services since 2017. James began at Which? Mortgage & Insurance Advisers, where the Home & Landlord’s Insurance team was set up and developed.

Since which James has gained experience with commercial vehicle Insurance and training to become a life insurance and protection adviser. When James not in the office I’ll most likely be gigging with his band or mixing a mean cocktail or two.

Laurence is a protection expert and has specialised in financial protection advice for the last 8 years. Laurence has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in both personal and business protection. He works hard on helping clients understand the different options available to protect themselves and their families, then works with them to make informed decisions on their insurance cover at any time in the future. He prides himself and being a direct point contact during the entire advice process, helping to arrange the required policies and also guiding his clients through the claim process should they need assistance.

Laurence is very passionate about sport and has an ever growing collection of vintage football shirts, particularly Italian club shirts from the 90’s.

 

Harry joined Advantage FS in 2023 having previously worked in the motor trade. Harry’s a big football fan and a keen supporter of Southampton FC. In his spare time you’ll find Harry in the kitchen whipping up a storm!

Harry is currently studying for his CeMAP qualification and aspires to become a mortgage adviser.

 

Tiffany has over 17 years’ experience in the mortgage industry as a Senior Paraplanner. A large amount of that time was spent with the UK’s leading consumer brand Which? Where she worked her way up to a Team Leader where she assisted her team members with training and development within the administration role.

Tiffany has a real passion for providing excellent customer service and prides herself in making the mortgage process seamless for her customers. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching Disney or Star Wars movies, and travelling the world.

 

 

 

Having previously worked for one of the UK’s largest building societies, Hannah brings a wealth of customer service-based experience to the team. Hannah joined the AFS team in September of 2022 as a paraplanner and hopes to become an adviser in the future.  In her spare time you’ll find Hannah catching up on the latest superhero movie or planning her next big adventure!
